Alright, let's try something rather than you fooling around with the BIOS. Switch off the power supply in the back of your computer and pull the plug out from the case. Then press the power button 10 times. Plug the cord back in and switch the power supply back on. See if it can boot now.

I get to screen where a black window. and kobian.com.. on it..then it goes to boot from floppy disk..cdrom.. or network.. so baffled..coz..When I got those viruses the whole computer went in to blues screen with windows logo doing a scan disk.. and checking all files.. then it shut down and came up with the black screen with kobian thing and boot options.. and saying no HDD detected.. and tried to boot up from cd xp disk.. got to a the screen where it says loading windows componets and then it says.. detected no hdd computer restarting
Sorry to trouble you rodents and thank you for time .Anju

Okay, I think we need to try a Repair Installation.

Insert your Windows XP Setup CD, and restart your computer.

1. When the Press any key to boot from CD message is displayed on your screen, press a key to start your computer from the Windows XP CD.

2. Press ENTER when you see the message To setup Windows XP now, and then press ENTER displayed on the Welcome to Setup screen.

3. Do not choose the option to press R to use the Recovery Console.

4. In the Windows XP Licensing Agreement, press F8 to agree to the license agreement.

5. Make sure that your current installation of Windows XP is selected in the box, and then press R to repair Windows XP.

6. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete Setup.

Have you tried to Clean Install?

While you will lose your data, it may be our only option at this point...
