Question [Answered] power setting issues

Hey, guys new to the site here, love the site

I'm having an issue here, witch is such an easy thing to fix I cant seem to put my finger on it.

Ok problem is that on my laptop I have the power options set to Always on, and further customized to have when plugged in all options set to Never, and for the battery option Turn off monitor is set to 15 mins and all others never. Then under Advanced I have when I close lid, nothing happens, and when I push poewr button, computer will hibernate. Im using a Pavillion ZV6130, I have never had this problem before untill now, of all the times I have formated and resintalled windows, I do however fell it could be Xfire IM client, but never had an issue with them before, but it could just be some freak incompatible issue.

Problem is minutes later, maybe after a few restarts or so, it all converts back to default power settings, I change back,, later its back to the same, and the cat and mouse game continues, I m about to murder this **** cat.

Any ideas pls help, this is driving me insane, i close my laptop to go get lunch and come back, its in stan by got to re-log in and all, yeah its not that big of a deal but if your downloading something or logged into online apps, if logs me off.

Again thanks

Madd William Kidd
