[Answered] Need help with partitioning
Alright, here's my situation. I have an HP desktop with a SATA harddrive. It has 200 GB of space, 10 GB of which goes to a Recovery Partition, and the rest goes to my C drive. Or at least it should. I'm only getting roughly 20 GB of space with the C drive, and the rest becomes unallocated space. Windows XP is installed on the C drive, and the system is NTFS. I also have a second harddrive installed, which is a 70 GB harddrive, which I've been using for more space. Both Harddrives are Western Digital.
What I want is to put the unallocated space in the C drive so I no longer need the second harddrive. I've looked and looked for programs to do this, but to no avail; at least nothing that I know how to use without screwing up my system. The only one I've found is Partition Magic, but I need to buy it in order for it to work. Would this program even work for me? And are there any free alternatives that can do what I'm looking for? I've even tried the Western Digital tools, but they don't work, I'm assuming, because my C drive is NTFS, although I might be wrong.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would be very thankful.
Thanks in advance.
