Not sure if this post should be here but....

I recently got a virus, everytime i logged on to my laptop it would log off instantly.

So i used my WINDOWS disk that came with my laptop and re-installed windows, only to find at my horror that it didnt install the drivers for my Ethernet card, Video card, Sound card or Touch pad....is there a program around that will detect what type they are so i can find the relevent drivers for them?

My laptop is a toshiba (If thats any help)

Your best bet is to go on the Toshiba website and search for your specific laptop model.

Your best bet is, like curtinparloe said, the Toshiba website. I also, however suggest DriverAgent:

It charges a yearly fee, but it isn't much and is certainly worth it. Just the usage I've got out of it alone this year has probably saved me a good 5 hours of Googling (if not more, with my terrible Google skills), and I think that's worth $20.
