Hello bigdipper, welcome to PCHF.

Please can you clarify a little. How do you know rundll.exe is missing, do you receive an error message, and if so when? rundll.exe is not a standard Windows file that I'm aware of, however slrundll.exe is. What version of XP are you running?

As for the second message. I take it your trying to uninstall software? If these files have been deleted, you only have two options.

1.. The cleanest method to uninstall this software is to install it again! After installing, reboot, and the files you need to uninstall with be there for you to un-install properly.

2.. Delete the folder you need from the c:\program files folder, however there is nearly always files and registry entries from deleting software this way.

Hello Madmonkey
First I'm not very computer smart. First question I did a search and it could not find it. I was given a site so I could download the rundll.exe now I did a search again and it shows I have the slrundll.exe thing. How do I find out what version of xp I have?

I have Madden 07 that I haven't played for a bout 3 months and was going to play and that how I got that error. I did try to reinstall and it will not let me. So what do I do?

So lets get this striaght,

Your trying to uninstall, and then re-install Madden 07, becuase you receive the error "Rundll.exe not found"?

And then when you try to un-install, you receive a further error "could not find necessary uninstall file: UNDll 32.EXE SisInst.DLL, influninst driver.uninst4 sisgr.inf"?

I've not actually played Madden 07, so I don't know exactly where these files are stored to. It seems to me like an attempt was made to uninstall the game, and then cancelled or aborted for some reason half way through.

If you go to My Computer, Local Disk (c), Program Files. Search through these folders to see if you can find Madden 07 there. It's an EA game, so you may find it with a folder called EA. If you do, right click on it, and rename it to Madden 07x, and then try to re-install the game again.

EDIT: Marked as answered.
