Default [Resolved] Can't delete video's from My Documents, downloaded from Limewire...

Hi, I downloaded a video from Limewire and now it is in My Music in My Documents. I need to delete this video. But when i right click on it it doesn't come up with the usual list and there is no delete button to click. I cant even play the video. The list it gives me is this. (Pictured)

Anyone know how to delete it?

Help please.

Welcome to PC Help Forum

Try deleting the file in Windows Safe-Mode:

To get into the Windows XP Safe mode, as the computer is booting tap your "F8 Key" every second or so - this should bring up the "Windows Advanced Options Menu" as shown below. Use your arrow keys to move to "Safe Mode" and press your Enter key.

Also, you can highlight it and hit the delete key, or just click and drag it into the recycle bin. If all else fails, it can be deleted pretty simply in DOS.

But just so you know, you're bound to have tons of malware if you have Limewire.I'd get rid of it ASAP, and run the Prework/Afterwork too.

It won't drag in to the recycle bin an also won't delete when I highlight it and press delete. I don't want to sound silly but whats the DOS?

I'll try the F8 start up thing soon, thanks.

It means that when you start up your computer, immediately start tapping the F8 button on your keyboard until the "Windows Advanced Options Menu" is brought up. Use your arrow keys to move to "Safe Mode" and press your Enter key.

When you get to Safe Mode, proceed to delete the file.

Also, if that doesn't work, we'll need the name of the video, the file extension (e.g. if it's a WMA, AVI, MOV, or other kind of file), and the folder it's located in (e.g. C:\Documents and Settings\Person)
