Hi all, I just reinstalled my OS. I was just wondering if later on I had a problem with my computer and I chose to do system restore to an earlier date, if the computer would be exactly the same as it was on the restore date. I am asking this basically because since I just reinstalled my OS, it is running faster than it was previously, so in the future if I had problems I could just restore to a previous date as opposed to reinstalling. It completely depends on what has caused your PC to slow down in the first place. All system restore really does is restores your settings and a few essential files, but not the entire system. From System Restore, click on System Restore Settings, followed by Settings and make sure your using as much space as possible for best results with System Restore. Create Restore points after each significant system change (altough System Restore should be doing most of this for you), such as installing Service Pack 2. Restore to your lastest working system restore point, otherwise some of your software, services and/or drivers installed since may not work properly.
