Windows XP/2000 - [Resolved] XP running very slow posted in the Operating Systems forums; My BIOS doesn't have "default settings", it has "Fail-Safe" and "Optimized" settings. Tried them both, it didn't change anything...

Well my friend, there isn't much left to test from our stand point.

You either have a distorted sence of time, or you might have a hardware problem.

Do you know a good computer shop? If you need a recommendation, post your home town and someone will be able to recommend a shop near you.

I think it is the hardware.

I live in Canberra, Australia. I don't think there would be many people on here from where I live, but it's worth a shot.

Got it back from a shop, it's all working fine now. Turned out to be a software problem, corrupt windows files, drivers missing, and having 2 anti-virus programs running at once.
