I also found something else out I did not know. I had a pc tech take my hard drive last month to fix some issues. IE 7 problems. He did a complete clean and reinstall XP. I just tried to do a scannow. It asked for my 2 cd set of windows XP professional. I don't HAVE Professional. I am supposed to have Home Edition. So I think I'm stumped. I have to call him back out until I can buy a new hard drive? For which at this point in time looks like I'll be a great grandmother before I can. I ain't a gramdmother yet! lmfo

I do have my Original CD and drive cd's. Can I clean this thing out and reinstall my proper cd? I do need to burn my email account, a few pics and my favorites.

I'm sickened by this. It's 3:23 am here. I'm heading to bed for a while. I have to get up before the Tennessee sun and drought burn my birds crispy in the early morn/afternoon

PS, If we do that. Reinstall. I have done it before but very rusty. You'd have to tell me what cd's that go in what order.

It's ok...it's very straight forward.
What kind of computer do you have?
Custom built? Dell? HP? IBM? etc etc

I just had an idea...before we go off and reinstall windows...
Lets try something a bit different

It might just be your account that is corrupt, and not anything else. If you log back onto safe mode, and log in with the Administrator account (not Lynne) and goto Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Users

Create a new username..Call it whatever you like (except Lynne or Administrator).
Once done, reboot into windows normally, and log on with that new account...does it still return the same error message?
