K so i was havin realy bad problems with my pc like virus wise and all sorts
and i had a copy of xp home but on my pc i had pro and i was out of options and went to installed the home edition obviously taking out the pro
and now my pc is booting up get to the xp start up screen with the little loader at the bottem the loaders goes across like 10 times then freezes
Is it just taking alot of time to load cuz it was just installed or am i lookin at a prob???

Hi thwere and welcome to PCHF, can you access Safe Mode At All, by tapping F8 when the computer is booting?

Lol i just tryed to its in that first stage of booting in safe mode
where all that script fills the page but seems to be loading or froze

YA its froze at the script page
tryed restarting just does the same thin

If you have a Windows XP CD put it in your CD Drive and allow it to boot from it. You may need to go into your Bios to configure it to boot from the CD Rom Drive. To do this turn on your PC and start Tapping F2 or the Del key on your keyboard. Once in the Bios use the arrow keys on your keyboard to highlight a tab called "Boot" or something similat and change the boot order so that the CD Rom is first and the hard drive is second etc. Put your XP CD in the CD Drive and restart the PC.
