Since your "My PC" section says you are running Windows XP Pro with a Nvidia GeForce 7800 GS, I need you to boot up and download this:

ForceWare Release 162

And install it. It isn't unheard of to get a hardware error from a bad driver, though I would have expected to see the driver file mentioned, but it can't hurt.

Nope, nothing there. After installing the new driver, my pc locked up immediately on the restart when windows loaded...

Dang, not looking good, huh???

Let me know if you have anymore suggestions.

Thanks,
Scott

That's making me even more suspicious of your video card. Right-click on "My Computer," and go to "Properties." Head on over to the Hardware tab and open up Device Manager. Find your video card and completely Uninstall drivers. Reboot (try Normal Mode), and the generic video card drivers should be installed for it, and maybe that will get us on further.

Ok, this seems strange (at least to me)... I uninstalled video drivers, then rebooted. When my pc rebooted, it was in the default 800x600 resolution. I left it for a while and walked away to see if my pc was going to bsod... Well, I waited about 10-15 min or so (long enough for it to bsod from earlier usage) and nothing happened... So, I went ahead and upped my resolution to my preference (1280x960) and less than a minute later, bsod... I restarted and changed back to 800x600 and I'm still on the pc and typing this response with no bsod yet... So, does this mean my vid card is going out?? I've only had it for about a year or so and paid a lot of $$$ for it to be dying on me so soon... Let me know your thoughts, you're definitely on to something though...

Thanks,
Scott

Ok, so there may be an exception to the above post, my pc just rebooted like it had been doing before, but it's definitely not as frequent as when I had the vid driver installed... Just fyi...

I am now almost sure that this is a problem with your video card. Before we confirm this, can you get your hands on another video card, just to borrow? If you can, remove the current card and put in the temporary one. If you can run good on the new video card, I would contact whoever sold you your card, or even Nvidia themselves, to see if you can RMA for a new one. I'm sure for just a year of ownership, they certainly should allow an exchange for the same product.
