Question [Answered] cant get rid of add ons disabled notice

everytime i turn on explorer i get a add ons are disabled notice. manage add ons is ghosted in the tools drop down menu. so i went to tools---- internet options-----programs---- manage add ons. in this window all the addons in all catagories of the drop down menu are enabled except windows messenger ,but this has been disabled for about 2 years. the message is new. help. please!!

make sure that you are not running the "NO ADDONS" shortcut for IE7, you might have changed it by accident.

anyways to make sure right click on the IE7 icon on your desktop, and if the "Start Without Add-Ons" is blackened then it opens up IE7 safe mode by default.

if it is blackened then just click the "Open Home Page" and it will open up IE7 normally
not completely sure how to permanently fix it though
