Angry [Fixed] Please, help needed

Greetings,

As of last night I am having issues with my computer. I am running widows XP pro. I loaded a program Roxio Media Creator 9. After installing said program windows went freaky and I am unable to reload windows pretty much at all. I get to a point in the startup and it gives me an run time error "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library"..... and it freezes up. It doesn't Fully boot up!!!!

I have tried multiple times to get it to boot up to no avail. I figured maybe I could run it in safe mode for the option presented itself on a few of the cold starts but I found another little feature that presented itself my keyboard does not work when I try to choose to run in safe mode so it counts down and starts windows with me frantically hitting the arrow keys. I find the none working Keyboard a little strange because I am able to use it to get into Bios but after a certain point in start up it refuses to acknowledge the existance of the keyboard..

any help would be appriechiated

Smudge

When it boots duz it got to the windows screen then freeze? if it duz try holding down the shift key to stop it loading startup items.

So can you select safe mode now with the keyboard?
