This morning I turned my computer on, carried on as usual and then got just before windows bit were you click on username and type in password, but windows xp logo stays there and doesn't load the bit were I can type in my password so I cannot use the computer

If anyone could help

EDIT: Restarted computer and left it for 30 minutes and login appeared, so if anyone else gets this problem then just do that

Hi there if you have your XP CD handy put it in your CD Rom Drive and then click on Start, run and type in the open box (without quotes) "sfc /scannow" and press enter. Windows will then go through and check that all the files are the original versions.
