Default [Answered] Ram

Hi PCHF,
on the daughters comp when I run SIW and the likes it shows me that she has 512MB RAM....2x256.

Yet when I use windows system properties it says she has 384MB RAM.

I done some looking about and apparentaly video memory uses 128MB of the RAM.

If this is the case is this why it shows up as is in Syst Prop,as it shows u what u have to use and not what u have in the slots?

Thankyou

I believe System Properties shows the total capacity available. Whilst SIW will show you the amount of RAM you have, altogether including shared video memory. Which is correct in your case
