Unhappy [Pending] Slow PC - Help!

Hi there,

I had a problem a few days ago with my PC and I had a lots viruses on it from downloads and things. These downloads made my PC run really slow as a result but even after I got rid of them my PC still runs slowly. I've scanned my PC about 10 times since then and the scanner still hasn't found anything.

Can anybody help me?

Thanks,
Jal.

Welcome to PCHF Jal

What tools have you used so far to scan with?

AVG Free and Ad-Aware although I know Ad-Aware is mainly for Spyware.

Ok then, the only way to ensure that you are entirely clear of nasties is to follow our PRE-WORK and then let our expert Security Team look at your resulting logs.

Also. What's "anti-malware software"? It says to put Hijack This with all your "anti-malware software" but I don't know what that is...

By the way, thanks for everything.

P.S. What do I do once I've scanned my system with HijackThis?

Once you have scanned with all the tools mentioned in the Pre Work, upload the logs in your next post by clicking "Manage Attachments" down at the bottom of the Post New Message page and upload them. (there should be 3 logs in total).

Hijack this is an Analysis tool which scans your system, it then produces a log, which you upload for the security team to look at and they can then tell you which entries to delete/fix.
