Windows XP/2000 - [Answered] system interrupt controller posted in the Operating Systems forums; running a new pc and the above is flagged in device manager,my usb ports wont detect my i pod either would this be connected,thanks ps: there are no usb controllers ...

Hi,

It sounds like you're either missing your chipset drivers...or they are wrongly installed. Did you get a cd with that PC?

thanks hengis for fast reply ,i returned the original pc after constant crashes. that had the msi board and this one boots up with winfast ,i phoned them and said they would send the new drivers cd out in the post ,using everest software it does not give me the description of the board
just used the software pchf and found the board name presume ill get the drivers from the site once i search,thanks

Ok, try the other tools, one of them may give you the info: http://www.pchelpforum.com/your-pc-detailed-info/ When you have the board serial, it's a really simple case of going to the MSI homepage support section and downloading/installing the chipset drivers relevent to your board.

the board is winfast k8m890-8237 is that a msi brand or foxconn

now i know what the problem is i will search around and hope the disc comes in the post tomorrow otherwise,thanks
