Default Uh Oh, big problem

Hello,

I am just trying to install java JRE onto my windows 2000 prof machine. I got so far through the install and it froze, the only thing i could do was close it down, it now won't let me install it as it says the install is in progress, what can I do!! Ithere is sooo much I can't do without java.

The strange thing is when I installed this version of windows it seems to have created a partition (i'm sure i selected no) and I have Java installed on the win 98 partition

What can I do, please please help

Thanks

Be careful, there be Englishmen about..

In the Control Panel, click on Add or Remove Programs
Is the JAVA program listed there? If so, uninstall it.

In Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Cleanup
Run Disk Cleaner
Select the C: drive. Click OK.
Make sure all the boxes have check marks.
Click on OK.

Now, try download the Java again.

Good Luck...
