This is caused by memory corruption. Go to Memtest86.com and follow their instructions to run the test. You'll have to manually stop the test after about 24 hours and if there are no errors, we will eliminate the possibility of RAM being dead or defective.

Next, boot up the computer and insert the Windows installation disk. Go to Start > Run, and type sfc /scannow. Let it go and this should solve whatever may have happened if your bad RAM has done anything.
