Default windows blue screen error (HHEELP)!

Hello everyone, need some help here.

I got a new Hp pavilion 2000 notebook with windows vista on it.
I had some few problems with the OS so i decided to install an XP SP2 afterwards.

Well when the instaliation was successfull, (wel kinda) i was missing some few drivers...
so i downloaded the "HP help and support center".
finded the drivers was a sinch, untill i got the WinFlash Utility for HP Notebook System BIOS - Windows-Based well i installed that program too.. ( for some odd reason my bios languege was in chineese)
When i restarted the computer the languege was in inglish again (yahoo!) but when windows began to boot I got an ERROR MASSAGE!
*** STOP:0x0000007b (0xf79e5524,0x0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000)

I was like, ok i 'll just install windows xp again....
When i was in the repair/install windows xp setup, i got another error massage!
Something about windows could not find my hardisk to install windows xp.

WHAT IS GOING ON! HELP PLEASE

PS. BTW i got a Hp pavilion dv2130us model

thanks

Hi name_less,
the 7b error message generally indicates issues with the memory you have. Which I'd hazard a guess and say it was causing your issues in Vista as well.

As you've only just bought it, I suggest taking it back to where you got it and say "Please fix it, it's most likely a memory or motherboard issue"

Hmm this could be one of two things it can either be that the OS is corrupt or the hard drive i suggest that u reinstall windows and see what happens.

sorry for the late reply guy's....
anyway.. i think the ur right the hard drive might be corrupt cause... like I mentioned before; i try to reinstall the os but it would'nt take it.
I mean, when pressing "ENTER" for intalling or "R" for repairing windows, it says that windows could not find the harddirve see if its conected bla bla bla...( >_< )

Try the drive in another PC (if you can) before losing all hope. If it's recognized, at least it may let you format/repair it and start afresh...

hmmm...i thought of that too...but because its a new laptop, i didn't want to open it yet.

Hey, i kinda have an idea, i was thinking of connecting an external hardrive, and intalling windows on it, then use that partition to format the "corrupted" harddrive.
would that work?
