Default XP Re-boot Issues

Guys

New to the forum so apologies if my issue has been addressed before.

At the moment can only reboot my PC in Safe Mode and my attempts to identify and fix problem have failed (have tried Registry Booster, Adware and Bugdoctor).

When I re-start (not in Safe Mode) get as far as list of users in XP (which is not displaying correctly - resolution is wrong and some shadow on screen) and when I attempt to select a user - screen goes to standby and PC continues to run - fan is very noisy.

I am from UK and PC is a Philips LS1400 Freevents. To cap it all cannot find my XP CD Rom.

Any help most welcome.

Cheers
Dave

Hey there mate,

Firstly I would suggest removing your graphics drivers and installing the latest drivers for your card.
