Hi, I don't think I have a virus but there is definately a problem going on. While I am playing a game or watching a video, my computer periodically starts slowing down to a stop, then speeds up to normal again. I have uninstalled programs that I don't use, defragged, ran CCleaner until nothing else showed up, defragged again, ran the antivirus, defragged again (not a lot on my pooter), then made a hijack this log. I am including that log in this email. Would you please be so kind as to look it over and let me know if you see any problems? Also,if you have heard of this kind of issue before, I would appreciate any advice you can give. My computer is run ning Win XP Pro SP2, Pentium 4 CPU 1500MHz, 1.50GHz, 512MB ram. My pooter is about 6 years old. Thank you for your help.

Hello.
![]() Do you know what this program is? 4DEmbroidery Other than that, your HijackThis log looks clean. Have you ran either AVG Anti-Spyware or SUPERAntiSpyware from the Prework? |

Haha 4DEmbroidery is one of my sewing programs. I ran AVAST several times and nothing showed up. And thanks for looking at my problem.
Could my NVIDIA be going bad? |

I'm not very knowledgeable about graphic cards, but I'll move this thread somewhere where you can get help from the other talented tech team members.

Yes, your graphic card is most likely the cause of this. Try a complete re-install of your cards drivers. Has happened to me before, a reinstall of the drivers and a reboot sorted the problem.
