Default [Fixed] Flash Player not installing

I have a few websites which are requiring the use of the newest flas paly. I click the link, install flash, and even get the verification form the website that it is working.

Only when I return to the website to view the media, it still insists that I must download the flash player!

I tried most of the recomendations on the troubleshooting page, but to no avail.

Any suggestions?

Recommend using the Adobe site. You can get the Adobe Flash Player, the Adobe Reader, and the Shockwave Player all from this webpage.

You're not by any chance using firefox with noScript extention, are you? If so, if you're on a page that says you need flash player you have to enable scripting for that page before the flash will play.

I use regular old Internet Explorer, and I am unsure as to weather or not I'm given the option to just "use flash player", any other things I should check out to find out?
