Do you have Windows media player 7 or greater?

Get SUPER. It's a great piece of software that can convert almost anything into almost anything else. I've found it able to convert more than just what it lists, and if it can't, it usually will with DirectShow. SWF is the only media filetype I know of that it does not convert.

Thanks AMDAthlon64X20 for the link !But I use a free converter with no problem. Mine is not Media Player but XP Media Center Edition 2005.
Thanks Rodents210 ! I do not require that.
I want that Media Center should play .wav files also which it is not doing now. What I should do to make the Media Center play .wav files is my concern. Basically the problem is with MC,

If you get QuickTime, it will play them.

Yes, understood. But I dont want to use quicktime either. Instead please advise me how the Media Center can be made to work with .wav files.

I don't know what to do then. I think you may just have to succumb to getting QuickTime since it's needed for lot of things anyway, and just having QuickTime automatically play the WAVs.
