Windows XP/2000 - [Answered] wrong keyboard layout posted in the Operating Systems forums; I just reinstalled xp and now when i hold shift the 2 is an @ and the ' is a " How do i fix this?...

Hello 00danny,

It's really quite simple. During the installation of XP you are required to select your language. The default is United States which has this layout where the @ and " are back to front.

To change after installing XP, go to My Computer, Control Panel, Regional and Language Options and change everything you see here to United Kingdom.

Make sure you do this from all three tabs, Regional Options, Language > Details button and finally the Advanced tab.
