ok well valis helped me remove prorat trojan **** and it was working pretty good but ever since my dad played poker its been crappy.Its not a virus as i did a scan and didnt even have it internet enabled after i got the prorat thing off.

is it browsing slow, or just overall performance? When your dad played poker, did he visit one of those online poker sites? If so, you are probably infected with something again. For starters, I'd try cleaning out all the temp files and see if that helps:

The pc is slow.On start up its sort of fast but after that when i open IE the esiest since ff doesnt work the thing freezes after going to 1 website.Wow alot faster than before.I can actually run a video! lol although im trying normal startup now.

check your msconfig file:

Create a Startup List

• Open HiJackThis
• Click on the "Config..." button on the bottom right
• Click on the tab "Misc Tools"
• Check off the 2 boxes next to the Box that says "Generate StartupList log"
• Click on the button "Generate StartupList log"

Copy and past the StartupList from the notepad into your next post .
