Hi Guys After deleting some unused desktop shortcuts they reappear on the next bootup Any way to delete them permanently?

I know this sound stupid but you are clicking the icon once then pressing delete key? then removing them from the recycle bin? this is the normal proccess for deleteing them

You don't have any programs loaded like deep freeze?

Also check if there in this folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop and C:\Documents and Settings\your user name\Desktop

Hi Madmat. To delete these icons, I Right clicked then clicked delete then clicked confirm. Have now deleted AND emptied my recycle bin as you suggested. Will let you know .
