Windows XP/2000 - Start taskbar doesnt load posted in the Operating Systems forums; After removing prorat with valis's help it doesnt load.It does in safe mode though. ImageShack - Hosting :: paintzr1.png...

Default Start taskbar doesnt load

After removing prorat with valis's help it doesnt load.It does in safe mode though.

we've tried the reg hack at kelly's korner, no go. It work in safe mode. Have you verified that it works in other profiles as well, or is it all profiles?

works on a test profile.But it worked before the virus you helped me remove too.

profiile may be corrupt......we didn't mess with the registry, so it's nothing we did. The virus you had came out relatively easily, but that doesn't mean it couldn't have corrupted your profile.

Right click start > explore > right click on c (or your active drive) > properties > tools > check now (top box) > tick both boxes and click start > it will say that it will do it next reboot, next time you know you are going to be away from your pc for about an hour or so (depending on your hd size) reboot, and let it scan.

Then let me know if showed up or not.
