Windows XP/2000 - [Fixed] Old HDD posted in the Operating Systems forums; Ok i have a kinda old still working 80G hdd that i had from my old computer that i transfered to my new one and it shows up in bios ...

Default [Fixed] Old HDD

Ok i have a kinda old still working 80G hdd that i had from my old computer that i transfered to my new one and it shows up in bios and cmos but i cant get it to show up in windows and its set to master and slave with the jumpers correctly where the old one is the slave...

the hdd are set correctly with all cables and jumpers
cmos has no problem reading it and i dont care about any files on it... so i just need to know how to make it show up so i can format it...

To make it show in My Computer pedro that's what you need to do.

Format it through Control Panel, Admin Tools, Computer Management, Disk Management.
