It is a great idea, and i can see how it would work - I'm just making sure our new friend, javidrichman here, is aware of the risk

The password is not a big deal, but having the username set is. I would just like it to be able to have it figure out the username and I guess the email address. That way when the person logs in, the email address, imap sever, smtp server, and username are set. It will error out if I have the password as changeme or something. At that time the person can enter their password and click remember password. That is the main thing I am trying to accomplish.

Thanks

I have figured out how to a lot off the stuff I need using prf files and outlook. Of course this doesn't work with outlook express, but that is a minor detail. I know I can get the usernamen by typing %UserName%. Is there a way to lookup the full name? For example, username: testperson, and their full name: Test Person. Is there a variable for Test Person? I have tried %FullName%, etc. and had no luck.

Thanks

For example, if personx logs in, I would like outlook and outlook express to setup an account for an imap server to be username: personx, password to be changeme, imap server to be mail.mydomain.com, and smtp to be smtp.mydomain.com. Of course personx would be the person logging on. Is this possible to do?

Thanks!
Do require additional assistance with this problem?
