Question I need help with this guys!!

I'm working on a laptop that has just half a screen. It sometimes does it and it sometimes don't. Do you think maybe the connection on the inside could be partially plugged or do you think its something else? Help!!!

Try an external monitor. If it happens then its the video card and if it doesnt its probably the monitor connection or somthing similar.

I'll try that and get back with you. If it is the video card, could that be replaced and how?

I doubt you can.If possible you could try to get the company to replace but if it works on the external its the monitor or the cable.

Hi marioc,

if the external monitor works - it's not the video card.

If it doesn't work - it is the video card.

Either way you will need to take the laptop to an authorised repairer and get it repaired...this does cost quite a lot of money however - especially if it's the monitor.

Ok! I'll do some troubleshooting and I will post back the outcome.
