Default [Fixed] How to install windows

Ok this sounds like the dumbest questions for an a+ certified texh but im only 18 and suck with text based stuff... well ok my xp was formatted and i lost it all... i still have my product key and everything... i borrowed my friends upgrade disk and it wont let me clean install cause it cant find previous versions of xp so im trying to use recovery console on the disk to fix my xp and i need to use it to repair all of my xp cause like i said it all got formatted... a speedy response will be awsome by a tech or anyone who knows recovery console... btw it has SP1 included if that helps but doubt it...

The production key is only good with its corresponding CD.

Since you formatted the HDD, the Upgrade CD is not good. There is nothing left to upgrade.

There is software available that claims to recover formated HDDs.
Without such software, you will need to install a full version of your operating system and will have lost all the personal software previously saved on the HDD.

If you backed up your HDD, you might be able to recover the backed up data.
But, that would require a boot disk.

Hope that helps...

Do you require additional assistance with this problem?
