Default Oops, I uninstalled SP 2

So I uninstalled Service Pack 2 (I don't know much about computers) thinking it was the cause of my slow AutoCAD woes, and now I'm being told that was a huge mistake. I still have service pack 1 on this computer, and the disk to reinstall SP 2, but I'm also told I should reformatt the drive first.

I can't reformat because it is a work computer and I shouldn't be doing things like uninstalling SP 2... ... I'm wondering, can I just reinstall SP 2 over SP 1 and be okay, or am I totally boned?

Sp2 shouldnt need a reformat.
PC Help Forum - Computer Tech Support Go there with internet explorer and all the updates you uninstalled should be downloaded and installed without any formatting.I updated mine without a format and it was fine.

It's true. You absolutely do not need to reformat in order to install SP2.

Welcome to PCHF!

Like AMD and Rodents said, it's ok if you uninstalled SP2. Just go to Microsoft Windows Update with Internet Explorer and it should give you SP2.

Good luck,
Adam
