Default HD Not Found

I recently bought a seagate sata 500G HD not realising it wouldn't fit into my PC. Found out I needed an adapter so bought and installed a Serial ATA Raid PCI Card. Attached the new HD. I've got a new SATARaid icon bottom-right of my desktop, which is nice... When I go to 'My computer' I can only see my original HD. I've searched the help files, scoured the internet and all I come up with is 'How to set up Raid'. All I want is my computer to recognise the extra space. As you can see I'm not very techie minded, it was an accomplishment getting the case off the machine! Any help with regards to finding the missing HD would be ever so appreciated.

Sorry if I seem a bit slow, not really sure what i'm talking about.

The Raid card came with a driver disk. I installed the drivers on that. The hard drive was OEM, came with nothing.
