Default [Resolved]Eliminating Drive "D"

Hi Guys
I have a Acer Aspire 3000 Laptop with 80GB hard drive.
The hard drive is divided into C and D equal. There is a partition of 6MB in case I'll have to reformat the hard drive. My drive C is loaded with all the stuff and D is almost empty. Acer sent me with the laptop a set of cd's if I'll have to reformat the hard drive. I find that drive D is a waist, and I'd like to know if I can remove or shrink drive D so I'll be able to use the entire hard drive. My HP Pavilion also has a partition on the hard drive but it's the size of the partition.
Thank You

If you reinstall windows freshly you should be able to delete all the partitions and recreate 1 big one is that what you mean? or if you want ot make it one partition (Drive) with out reloading you could use a partition manager like partition magic

Don't use the acer discs! LOL

Every acer I have had has faulty re-install discs.

You can get programs such as Norton Partition Magic where you may be able to shrink drive D and make drive C bigger, although you would probably need to create boot discs for it to run from on startup as you cannot edit the OS partition when using it
