Unhappy Help No Hard Disk Drives

Hi please help I am trying to intall win xp after everything disappeared on my computer. The cd start ups but is stops after I press enter to install win xp it comes up with an error: Setup did not find and hard disk drives installed on you computer" Now i ahve a hard disk drive the in bios its there an da ran a check on it and it passed, I trued reseating it and that didnt help. i dont know what to do I am stuck HELP Thanks

Hi welcome to the forum What type of hard disk is in the system some older system you have to press f6 to install drivers. Also do you know what mainboard is in the PC?

Hi thanks for the advice, I finally got win xp on it but now it will ot recognize the right size harddrive plus I cant get any sound out of it. The drivers are installed I think all and there are no yellow question/ ! anywhere to say there r errors in the device manager. It keeps saying no audio mixers. Any help is appreciated as always Thanks a Bunch

Do you know what maindboard is in the PC of what brand and model it is? This will help get the right drivers
