hi

solved the problems with error reports and the comp being slow
was all down to that norton 2007 so i got rid

lets hope the next virus doesnt use all the comp memory??

Just get:

AVG Antivirus
AVG Anti-Spyware
ZoneAlarm Free Firewall

You'll get more protection than you did with Norton, and you won't slow down.

okay, I'm going to mark this closed. If you still need the help, continue in the other thread, or let me know, and I'll close them both.

Norton is a known resource hog.....it was great, absolutely the best around when Peter Norton had it, but when he sold it to Symantec, they tried to make it do everything from malware removal to firewalls......sort of like having your dishwasher clean them, then put them away too. Doesn't work to well.

FWIW, I fly exactly what rodents recommended, and have had zero issue in about 19 months.

Let me know if you need the other one closed as well.
