Default XP MCE Trouble

Hey guys,

I'm having big trouble with a new MCE install on my pc.

First of all It will not play DVD's or video clips etc... it goes to a black screen and often crashes.

The odd thing is that these DVD's and clips play in WMP.

Any ideas?

thanks

Hmmm...i've never used MCE to be honest, but do you get any particular error messages?

If just a generic "service has stopped responding do you wish to send report?"
try sending the report - it might come back with more information for you.

No, the MCE program just completely freezes up on a black screen, I have to use ctrl+alt+delete to close it.

Just had a thought - could it be because I have integrated graphics?

Hi pootsey,
Sorry for the late reply.

You might be onto something there - MCE requires very specific video cards and drivers.
