Default Network problems

Hi all,

Well I've been having problems with our internet for about 4 weeks now,
Comcast set the net up and its been randomly dropping ever since, the problem is it isnt renewing the ip adress and I think its a DHCP error, but comcast deniies that its thier fault (figures) we had a guy come over and check all of the lines and he changed some splitters around and stuff, then he enabled MSPS? and QOS? sched and said that they were necessary processes? (moron) anyway is there anything i can do to prove my case so we can get this **** fixed, also if you think its something different then please give your opinon.

Welcome to the PCHF tacoman.

Just wanted to confirm a couple of things before i give any advice.

Where MSPS and QOS enabled on your computer?
Is the computer not getting the IP address, or the router that your computer is connected to?

Default REply to that

Microsoft file printer sharing and packet shed were enabled, which from my experience has no need to be enabled and is not something the system relies on to run.

What happens is my connection will just drop randomly, and by right clicking my connection and selecting repair connection it will work fine afterwards, There are quite a few error logs in my modem if youd like to have a look see
