Default disable write-protection

I have this file on my Compaq,
compaq-rba.exe
I want to delete it, but it is write-protected.

This file is a message application that compaq uses to send information back to them
I have tried to just change the settings on it, but a message pops up saying that I dont have sufficient permissions.

If anyone can help me out, I would really appreciate it.

Make sure that you are logged onto the computer as an Administrator. Then right click on the file, click properties. In the box that comes up, uncheck the box that says Read-Only and click on Ok. Now try and delete the file again.
