I've lost my Windows XP password. Can anyone give me any quick solutions to get into my PC?

Welcome to PCHF.

If you start your PC in Safe Mode (press F8 during startup), and logon with the username Administrator. You'll need to remember the password (if any) that you used when Windows was first installed.

Once you logon with that account, you can go to My Computer, Control Panel, User Accounts and reset any passwords you need from there.

Thanks for that. Unfortunately (and yes I am VERY embarrassed to admit this) I don't know it!

ek.. theres no need to be embarrassed ros, you wouldn't be the first.. myself included.

But... unfortunately from here, were looking at hacking tools to retrieve or clear your Administrator password. I won't be permitted to post it here I'm afraid.

Try some of the generic passwords for the administrator account such as admin, administrator, Administrator, etc.
