Hello Justjohnnygo,
When you insert the floppy disc, or any floppy disc, does the light on your floppy drive light up and does it sound like it is attempting to read the disc?
If it is just completely unresponsive, you have a bad floppy drive. If it lights up and just doesn't find any information on the disc, I would imagine that the disc is just bad. Floppy discs have a very high failure rate in my experience.
As far as "installing" the floppy drive, I am under the assumption you meant install drivers for it. There are no drivers for internal floppy drives to install. Floppy drives are pretty much totally generic. So if it is unresponsive when you insert discs, there is just about nothing else to think about other than it is a bad floppy drive. It is possible the cables became unseated. You can open the unit up and make sure the power and data cable are seated correctly.
If you meant install a new floppy drive, it is pretty much the easiest component in a computer to install. If you feel uncomfortable replacing it yourself, you could always get an external USB floppy drive, which shouldn't be at all complicated to use if you have Windows XP. If you have Windows 98, you may have to install drivers for the external floppy drive.
Hope any of that info helps you
