Default Problem with Media Center & Also with Audio Playback

so i have media center edition version 2002, and the media center program doesn't work with my display settings.
my resolution is currently : 1152x864.
I own a Samsung SyncMaster 941BW (widescreen with a 16:10 aspect ratio)

I don't want to use 1024x768 (which the MC program works with...)

what can i change to make it work? are there any settings within the program?

thanks!

Also, I don't get Audio Playback when I play DVDs in my computer. I get audio playback with Audio CDs and Games, but not movies. I downloaded the most recent drivers for my sound and video cards to no avail. I opened up the computer to make sure the audio wires were connected to the soundcard from the DVD-RAM, and it was. Any suggestions here?

Again, thank you.

Hello Boyinshirt,

For the media center problem, have you tried any other widescreen resolutions? If you have other ones available, try those and see if Media Center works.

As far as the DVD playback, are you using a different program to play DVDs than CDs? If so, then look at the volume control in the DVD program. Maybe it is muted or set very low.
