some how its fixxed. i had a shiotload of problems with sound recorder not working today and had a fiddle with the soundcard settings, it seemed that the default recorder was set to my webcam once i changed this everything worked....
. weird! when i was platying around trying to fix sound recorder from hanging all sound processes hung, media player for example.. then i got
BSOD Bad_Pool_Caller. dam. so i restarted, checked the box to change to recording device, and not a problem since.. driver conflict?
