Dear sir/Madam
Some of the labelling of the folders and files in My Documents is black and some is blue.
By trial and error I deduced the blue labelling belongs to folders/files that are compressed.
What is compression? Should all files be compressed? Could some explain the need to compress contents to save disk space?

Howdy jusjohnnygo,
Compression just makes the files a little smaller to save on disk space. I would only suggest Comression on backup drives or partitions. If you do this on your operating partition it will slow things down a bit
