Angry xp restore cd's do not support my pc model

i have a hp pavillion a330n. formatted my hard drive, had no restore cd's. got them(set of 10) from HP. they worked fine. two months later, had some issues with my desktop so i formatted it again, this time i got a message saying that this system restore cd's do not support this model pc. got a hold of hp again and they send me another set of cd's. Same as the first ones. they dont work either. Now after two whole months of messing around with the computer, somehow managed to install xp os from my hp laptop dv8110us, but not the drivers from the laptop. Again not knowing how, i managed to log on and was able to access the web, went to hp and downloaded all the original drivers for the a330n; so far so good, everything seems to be working fine, except I have no software whatsoever of the original software that came preinstalled on it. after all this trouble now i was trying to use the command prompt to try and install the recovery cd's but now I have no os to boot from again and a message saying that i have some dll file missing or corrupt, is there a better ansd easier way to get the a330n back to it's original state with the recovery disks????

Welcome to the PCHF manuelcintosh

I'm assuming the dll or missing file is HAL.DLL??

Can you please provide a bit more specific details on the error(s) that you're receiving, this will help us out
