I recently came home turned on the computer heard the screen do a type of flickering noise kind of like a static noise if you run your hand across the monitor. When I came back into the room the screen was blank. Computer still running just no picture. The green was still on monitor. Turned off monitor turned back on. Sounds like it wants to come on but doesn't makes a click on then back off green light still on. I tried to trouble shoot doing the BIOS to default that didn't work. Says I should then try to download BIOS update have not done so yet not sure if I should. Also checked all cords and connections, all seem okay. Computer still seems as though it is working properly still sounds like it loads up and runs the same as before. Do I need a new monitor or something else. If any Ideas please let me know.
Thanks

Hi fjlo and welcome to PCHF,
Do you have access to another monitor? If so, try it and see if it works. Sounds like your monitor might have some issues. Let us know how it goes.

If you're going to do the BIOS update, you might want to make a secure backup of any important documents and files that you may want before you update just to be safe.
Keep me posted on how you're making out.
