Hi Everyone,
I have a new annoying issue on my Sony Notebook. I'm not sure if it is adriver related issue but I suspect it is.
After booting up and after the Windows Welcome scree appears, my Desktop appears - as normal. Usually the various taskbar icons and applications load, including the network connections for Wi Fi and for LAN.
Normally these all load in some seconds.
What happens now however is that the Desktop loads, plus most of the task bar icons but there is then a wait of up to 45 seconds after which all the loaded desktop icons give a "BLIP" and the scree flickers, and THEN the network connections load within 5 seconds.
The screen flicker and blip are new. I have used a registry cleaner - ACE Utilities, but I have restored all actions through Backup and it doesnt appear to be this. I have upgraded some drivers via DriverAgent so that I now have the latest recommended ones. I have tried rolling back drivers but the blip issue and the reulting longer boot up time remains. The wait that occurs after the desktop loads and untill the blip occurs varys between 10 and 45 seconds after the Windows Welcome screen, followed by the network Connections always a few seconds later.
It seems although the Notebook is loading some process or application that is necessary to load before network connections can load, and that somehow it is now taking longer.
Any suggestions or advice to resolve this issue would be most welcome.
Stevie B
