Until you have all the proper drivers installed, don't be afraid to unplug your computer from the AC source to allow the computer to cool down. That is of course after you shutdown the OS. Unplugging insures that none of the computer can still be producing heat. You might also consider signing up with one of the driver resource programs. It could insure that you have all the drivers you need.OK inzane, this will be your problem.
The difference:
XP Setup CD, will install a completely fresh copy of XP.
A recovery CD is pre-imaged, with your original drivers and hardware. Using a recovery CD on different hardware is not possible. In many cases, you would be unable to boot, let alone make it into Windows. It's lucky you have made it so far. It's equivelent to taking out your HDD and expecting to boot in somebody else's PC.. it won't work! ..unless the hardware (specifically the motherboard) is identical or very very similar in model.
You need to get hold of an XP Setup CD I'm afraid inzane.
I hope everything goes well for you...
