Default my win xp profile

Hi all

Ok, i booted up my laptop and upon logon i got a message saying it cannot read my profile, and will load a temp profile. Ouch!
all my old docs are there , nothing misisng, so thought no probs, ill just move everything over. then upon restrt same thing Ouch Ouch! lol

ok, is there a way i can restore my profile back? i cant use restore point as i have that off.

Does the temp account have administrator access? You will have to create a new account, the account that Windows lets you enter is only temporary and is removed when you reboot.

yes i can create a new account, thougn my old account user name is also there on log on.

Unless anyone around here can come up with anything better, your best bet would be to create another profile and copy everything from there.

tried that and i get same problem when booting. tbh never known, heard about this problem until now.

ive fixed corrupt boot files, and all that in the past, but this, youd think woul dbe simple lol
